Catherine Walker
Catherine Walker is an award-winning Irish actress, writer, director and producer, and co-founder of Isona Films.
Her screen work includes Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci and Napoleon, the acclaimed psychological horror A Dark Song, Patrick’s Day, Critical, The Deceived and Shetland. She received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress for My Sailor, My Love, which won Best Irish Film at the Dublin International Film Festival in 2023.
A five-time IFTA nominee, she is also a three-time Irish Times Irish Theatre Award winner, recognised for her performances in What Happened Bridgie Cleary, The Talk of the Town and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Her short film Penthos screened at the Achill Island Film Festival and the Los Angeles Short Film Festival, where it won Best International Film, and was presented at the Hudson Guild Theatre in Santa Monica as part of the Hollywood Gold Awards.
Through Isona Films, Catherine is developing a slate of original feature films and television projects as writer, director and producer. She is currently developing a feature adaptation of Colm Tóibín’s first novel, The South, with Screen Ireland, Cowtown Pictures and Front Room Films.
